To quote something from one of Anson's original topics on this board...
- Commiting felonies is a serious crime. If fans at home can see it, so can the police. Dewey Cheetum Howe will NOT post bail for convicted arsonists, murderers, whatever. Doing such with cameras AND witnesses is doubly stupid. Just don't. You shouldn't even do this off-camera and without witnesses, so seriously... unless the rare special case presents itself, don't do anything stupid.
I've noticed in a handful of Roleplays that have posted lately, crimes HAVE been commited. And since these roleplays are televised, that means that the entire world is capable of seeing the crime. The problem with this is, the people writing these roleplays with the crimes in them are NOT having their characters deal with the repercussions of their actions, thus destroying the entire realism of the roleplay. And, while I can't speak for all of the judges, I personally feel that having a crime commited in a Roleplay, especially a serious one, GREATLY destroys the quality of the roleplay, and it WILL be an issue when I'm judging who the winner of a certain match is.
So, if you're going to have your character commit murder in an RP, or if they're going to steal a car or anything else that's illegal, they better end up dealing with the repercussions of their actions. I doubt that if someone kills another person in something that's on camera and televised, they'll be able to avoid the cops or prison for a long time, if at all. So please, keep this in mind, because it actually is a major issue.
