The static fades out in the basement of Chris Stone's home. He's standing in the old wrestling ring, the Brutal Havok Championship slung over his shoulder. His smiles is bigger than ever and he steps forward so his face is in more light.
Stone: "So I guess this is about the time where I come on TV and explain my actions. I guess this is the moment when I tell Jake Anderson that he is nothing and will never be nothing when compared to me. But this isn't one of those times. Yes, I'm going to explain my actions, but do I really think that of my former colleague? The answer is... no. You see, Jake, you've got to look at the bigger picture. Everything The Crusaders swore to fight against, to get rid of, to banish from CPW, all those things had infected The Crusaders. In a way, you could say The Crusaders were doomed from the start with Chris Stevens being one of the original three. So what did we do? We kicked his ass so bad, he hasn't been seen since. You and me, Jake, we accomplished some very big things here, just the two of us. Two people proved to be a very dangerous combo. And then Ty Evans came in and things seemingly got better. But then, there was The Wreckers."
Stone pauses for a second, leaning on the ropes. He looks into the camera, the smile on his face now gone.
Stone: "They looked promising, but then they joined and they proved that they are nothing but the garbage we swore to take out. And that ate at me, Jake. And then the almost weekly beat downs started and like a fool, every time I thought The Crusaders would be storming through that curtain any second and the tide would shift. Every time, I fought back with false security that my so called 'friends' would be running down that ramp to help me. And every time, when I lay bloodied and beaten in the middle of the ring, the only thing I could think is 'Where were they?'. Yeah, sometimes you guys ran down there, but always after the beat down, especially this past Monday. I walked into that ring that didn't have one, but two Slades in it, something a lot of people wouldn't do willingly. And I walked in it with bad intentions. Not only were the Slades in that cage, there was The Suicide Club. That was the last time I walked into a ring thinking The Crusaders had my back. Yeah, I hit Bo Slade, but lo and behold, Tyler Shane decided that he and Elliot Burress would soften me up before I was left for the two wolves that are Axl and Bo Slade. And I'll tell you firsthand, that was a brutal beating. Axl and Bo left me for dead in the middle of that ring and then, that's when you and Evans show up, conveniently after the chaos is over. And when I saw you two... I had to let out what was building up. I had to let out all my frustration and disappointment on both you and Evans. If you look at it from my view, The Crusaders let Chris Stone down, not the other way around. So I did what I had to do and walking out a person depending on no one but himself."
Stone takes his championship off his shoulder and sets it on the nearest turnbuckle. He turns back to the camera, his face as serious as ever.
Stone: "So, Jake, if by any chance you think I did this because I thought you were holding me down... No, I never thought that. I did it because The Crusaders were a shell of what they once was. Somebody had to say it, Jake. Nothing personal, though, I know you'll be able to bounce back from this just like that. Maybe you'll be able to look back on this one day and see things my way."
Stone nods to the camera and walks back over the Brutal Havok Championship. The camera moves around to show both Stone and the belt in the picture.
Stone: "But now, I have to move on and put my mind on my match this Sunday. I step into the Cell with Tyler Shane and Bo Slade and to top it off, Slade has added barbed wire to the Cell. If you ask me, that puts me right at home. I've proven in the past that I work very, very well with barbed wire. But I'm not going to stand here and hype myself up. Those games won't work on these two. You see, things between the three of us have risen from a smolder to a roaring fire in a very short amount of time. What started out between Bo and Tyler that spilled over and became Tyler and Stone that would quickly come full circle and become Bo, Tyler and Stone. Something I didn't think for one second that I'd be apart of or had any interest to. But now that I'm here, I see what this could mean for me, for the Brutal Havok Championship. A win here would give both myself and this belt major credibility. And once again, I would raise the standard for this very belt and take one giant step up the ladder. The Saints aren't going to win this match and The Suicide Club aren't going to win this match. The Crusaders aren't going to win this match either. The current and most dominant Brutal Havok Champion, 'The Scorpion' Chris Stone, is going to win this match. I am undefeated on every single pay-per-view this year and I will continue that streak at Dia De Los Muertos. I'm walking into a match, alone, where my enemies have many friends. I'm going to walk out bloody, bruised, but still standing tall as THE Brutal Havok Champion. Tyler, you may have a hard time accepting this, but Bo... I know you can see the truth. You know the truth when it's staring you right in the face. And you know it's doing it right now. It's just a matter of when either of you admit it."
