For years now, we've done weekly and pay-per-view match results on the site. I have however noticed a lot of other E-feds hosting their results on their actual forum, rather than the site. For the longest time I thought it was simply "unprofessional" (not my first choice of words, but I lack something better) for an e-fed to host results on anything but the site. This is a fact I felt especially more so with us, since without results on the site there's simply no reason for the site to exist as next to nothing there couldn't also be found here.
However in see a lot of other feds use the forum-results method, I've grown to appreciate it. It's... cleaner, to me, you could say. It also tackles the long held issue of dividing the matches up into a more easily read fashion, which has come up several times in the past from members. By holding each match and segment in a separate post, things are easily read and distinguishable for even the most lazy of readers.
I thought I had more to say but I'm not sure where to go from here, so I'll simply ask: what do you think? Do you prefer results on the main website, or do you think it would benefit from being hosted on the boards?
I should note that no matter what you reply with, this may all go nowhere anyway. I hold the presentation of the results largely to Ryan and Joe, since it's them doing a lot of the work and making sure the show goes up. They'll do it how they feel comfortable doing it, and that's all we should expect.
I was curious, that's all. And maybe curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought him back...
k. I'll stop typing now.

I think using the boards would be better ... no more copying for records ... if you want to know about what happened in a specific match later you can find out ... if there's some cool spot in the middle that someone took the time to write you can see it with ease ... etc.

I personally don't have any objections to the idea. Can't speak for Ryan, but as far as I'm concerned...if people say they'd rather us post the show on the boards, then we can post them on the boards. Doesn't bother me any.

The site really shows no purpose... so yeah... go for the forums.
Though if we cancel the site, the forums should undergo a design change and such.

It would be easier to update the champions.

I'm not sure I'd say we should cancel the site, in spite of its irrelevance. People scouting e-feds usually like to see if a fed has a site. Even if its just a lot of the same stuff we have on the boards, I'd say keep it around in some fashion.

Except that it's never fully up to date. It's kind of pointless unless it's updated. We should just get rid of it.

CPW's site is severly underutilized. It's understandable given how difficult it is to maintain a site, but unless you have things like rankings, history, awards, or even little things like quotes/match/wrestler/feud of the week, etc...
CPW's site is really just a show peice, and as such it might as well just be a fancy picture with a link that says 'Click here to go to the site!' and they're taken directly to the forums. No point in having a real site if you aren't going to use it.
Right now it's only good for figuring out who has what title. That could be shown on the boards.

I'm not sure I'd say we should cancel the site, in spite of its irrelevance. People scouting e-feds usually like to see if a fed has a site. Even if its just a lot of the same stuff we have on the boards, I'd say keep it around in some fashion. I know I'm a few months late on this, but I agree. If a fed has a shitty site, I usually won't look twice. And I have never, and will never, join a fed without a site. While posting the results on the forums is not necessarily unprofessional, not having a site altogether is entirely unprofessional. (Sorry if I'm stepping on anyone's toes here) But for me, e-feds and websites go hand-in-hand maybe just because I first started doing websites when I started making my own fed and just progressed from there. Speaking of which, I know being a webmaster can be a hassle sometimes especially when it's just a hobby. I'd be more than happy to lend a hand again once I build my new machine in the next month or so (my old self-built one was stolen, a big reason that I've not been around the past year ) Back to the topic at hand. I think that unless you use the site to spice the results up a little more (using music or whatever) it doesn't really matter if they're on the site or the boards.

I prefer using the boards for everything. Have a site as more or less a marketing splash page, and they can click on it to go directly into the forums.
