www.mediafire.com/file/qncjcybx7mconcs/DATA.rar – CPW July 2011 Update
All it took was Gina randomly saying “You should create another CPW database for EWR. It's been a long time man.” Then I was off and running...so here ya go.
In February of 2009, when this board was freshly made, I created a CPW database in the File Editor of the EWR 4.2 game. I put in most of the roster, though I confess that I inadvertently left a few people out of that update. Much like before, I have accidentally left out a few people from this update and at this point, I don't really want to go back and edit them back in. I'm just that lazy, and CPW has a roster of about 60 in this game right now...there are also a bunch of other things I've done other than just creating the characters in the database, which I'll explain as we move through this topic.
Characters: The database is an edit of the July 2011 update (which means that stats and wrestlers from other promotion within the game are current) and comprises some 60 new wrestlers assigned to Chaotic Pro Wrestling. To begin with, here are the characters I left out of the base.
Joey Edwards
Raevyn Lilja
Vincent Palmer
Jericho Ryan
Drake Tulmer
Now I left out Ryan and Lilja because truthfully, I just forgot about them—I left out Palmer, Edwards, and Tulmer because those characters are too new to CPW for me to have an accurate grasp of the character/ If you wish to edit the data once you have downloaded the content, by all means do so. This is your game once it leaves my hands, I'm just providing the database for you.
To that end, I think it's important to say that the way the stats are set is not supposed to be a judge of your roleplaying...subconsciously, I don't know, I suppose it could be, but it should not be. It's just how I envision the characters stats looking based on how you've presented them AND based on the results they've achieved while in CPW. If the stats are low, it may be because you haven't been around long enough for me to understand the character, or it may be because the results those wrestlers have achieved throughout CPW's history have warranted that. Luckily for you all, there's a file editor in the game, and if you wish to make your character 100 in everything and give him every title, knock yourselves out.
A couple of guys have unsackable contracts because of their history and connection to ownership, the board, whatever. In the last update, I also gave some people Creative Control. I have not done that this time, because if you have creative control, you can refuse to lose to women...unfortunately, in CPW, the whole “Women can't beat men” thing doesn't apply (thanks a lot Gina <.< ). So those people aren't getting Creative Control, because it limits your ability to play the game. The guys with Unsackable Contracts are: AJ Slade, Brian Klesko, Erik Slade, Sean Lucas, and Solidus Fiilth.
Characters 2.0: I have also taken the liberty of adding many characters that some of our older CPWers will know. At one time, I would add old, inactive characters directly into the CPW roster—however, our roster has grown in size so much so that this option is no longer practical, as you would then have an incredibly large amount of people on your roster—too many, in my opinion. Therefore, I have added them to the database as well. They are listed as workers who do not currently have a contract in any wrestling promotion, and one of the chief reason most of them have been added is because of their deep personal connection to many of the characters.
Christopher “Prismatic” Wise
Dave Helms
El Chico de Sweetness
Eric Helms
Hardcore Jay
Hellfire
Rattlesnake
Tinjing
Triple X
There are a few characters whom I did not add, again, because I forgot. I may add them in the future, and there may be more other than the list I give you, but the following are some older characters I did not add. I apologize if some of these have personal connections toward your character (again, you can add them if you like), but I will admit that when adding some of these guys, I thought about how they connect to my own characters. I know some like Stone and Abraham connect very heavily to guys like Tyler Shane...but it is what it is.
Abraham/Iron Head
Chris Stone
Jacob “Ninja” Heafy
Matt “Redline” Stevens
Sima Liao
Steve “Chuie” Johnson
The Jester
Managers: Something that I didn't do last time and have done this time is put in Managers. Some of these are characters that can wrestle, but currently don't/ Others are straight-up Managers. You can make them wrestle in the game if you like, so I figured that could be your decision.
Tag Teams: I got most of the tag teams into the game, if not all of them. There are also a lot of tag teams that are currently inactive, either because one or both of their members is gone, or because the team no longer competes with one another. All in all, some 40 tag teams have been added to the database, with 21 of them listed as Active Teams.
Stables: Stables are not included in this database. CPW has reached a point where traditional “Stables” are no longer a focal point in the same manner that they once were. Stables are often very dynamic in the ways they change and morph over sometimes very short periods of time. I deemed it useless to add such an attribute to the base which might quickly become worn and outdated.
Alter-Egos: EWR has an “Alter-Ego” data, one which allows past character names to be stored in the history so that you can know what each character's been billed as in the past. For example, Denielle Summers has also used the names “Melanie Giragos,” “Melanie Summers,” and “Denni DiRocco.” Now, each of those names is stored in there as well. I've stored as many alter-egos in there as I could think of, but I assume there are more.
Relationships: Relationships were very complex and, to a degree, extremely confusing. When we roleplay here, our characters consider this “real.” In EWR, the characters understand that wrestling is a scripted program and that they're just working a show. So it's difficult to recognize, sometimes, how to write relationships. I've used my history in CPW and what's happened here with characters to determine a lot of relationships, but I have also recognized that some relationships have gone back and forth and back and forth between Love, Hate, Dislike, Friendship, etc. So I also tried to base this on a “Well, what would these characters think of each other outside the wrestling ring, in a professional and personal manner?” I came up with some 189 new relationships in the game. Some of them are spot on, others are likely wrong to some degree. The sheer amount of relationships intertwining together make this the most complex part of the database for me to put together, and therefore, the one most prone to error.
Misc. (Staff, Champions, Television, Sponsors, Promotion): In terms of Staff, there are just 4 members—Bolt, Aaron, Nathan Jacobs, and Dewey Cheetum Howe, along with a Board of Directors listed as the Owner. We do have other staff, yes, but truthfully, I felt there was no need to put them in.
All Champions are current as of Summer Blast-Off 2011.
CPW has one show, Pure Mayhem, which is on the CPW Network, a television station I added, as CPW does have its own network.
Many sponsors have been edited to have 0 Morality—this is a necessary function of the game, because CPW's Risk Level is, by definition of what we're “willing to put on the air here,” 100%. If I didn't edit some sponsors to reflect that, CPW wouldn't get any sponsors, and would lose tons of money in the game, making it unplayable.
CPW begins as a promotion with $7,500,000 to their name, paying $3,178,000 per month in wages, assuming you hire and fire nobody. They are a national corporation with a 65% public image (technically low considering what CPW markets itself as, a multi-national corporation...but then you have places to go in the game!). They have a 100% risk level, Production values of 75, and advertisin campaigns and merchandising campaigns of 70. Change 'em if you like.
If you have any questions about the database or the game in general, I'm here and will more than happily tell you anything you want to know. If anything's broken, lemme know and I'll fix it. Enjoy.
