Late in the night, or early in the morning depending on your preference, when the only eyes on the television screens are those of insomniacs and night owls, the airwaves fill with static. It doesn't last very long, only long enough to make someone dozing off open their eyes in response to the sudden change in sound. But all these people would see is blue sky on the television. The camera slowly starts to pan down, revealing a cemetary by a dirt road. The slow and peaceful of the acoustic guitar at the beginning of The Black Keys' 'Little Black Submarines' begins to play as a soft breeze rolls through the trees of the cemetary, rustling the leaves gently.
The angle changes, slowly going through a couple rows of gravestones before settling on one that seems to have suffered some damage, most of the words, including the birth and death dates, illegible or just not there. All that was left was 'Lucille Elizabeth King, Beloved Sister'.
The scene of a empty wrestling ring in what looks like an empty market district in Mexico City is shown. The sounds of a crowd booing and a metal chair being hammered against something seems to echo throughout the area. The camera moves slowly through the ring, enormous spots of dried blood staining the middle of the mat. A heavily damaged metal chair is seen as the sounds of it and sickening cracks and liquid splats continue to echo throughout the area.
The city of Chicago is seen against the dark night sky. The entire city seems to be alive as the sounds of traffic and people walking and talking fill the night air. The sound becomes muffled as we now see a warehouse by the pier, its door wide open. The camera continues on inside, areas of several homeless people coming into view. A couple of dogs run through, one chasing the other for its find of half a burger found by the dumpster closer to the water. The view shifts toward the stairs, then to the room upstairs, going through the door. Metal barrels are seen with what looks like several burned plants, books, and lab equipment inside of them. A broken record player lies near the barrels, along with several old records, all damaged terribly.
The view shifts to the inside of a freight train car. Its door is open, the moon bright in the sky as the train rumbles toward its destination. A couple of train hoppers sit on milk crates, a small metal trash can in front of them, a fire inside of it. The hoppers hold their hands over the fire, smiles on their faces as they trade stories of all the things they've seen in their travels. A black and white cat lies curled up in the lap of one, looking just as raggedy as its owner, but also looking as content as well.
The song picks up, an electric guitar replacing the acoustic. The camera moves through the empty hallways of what appears to be an old insane asylum. It still looks to be in somewhat good shape as water stains are only beginning to form here and there on the walls and ceiling. Incoherent babbling, whispering, and laughing can be heard as the camera passes by many empty rooms, quite a few of them equipped with beds with straps to hold the body of a large man down. Dried blood stains can be seen in a few places from what appears to be someone that had stood at the wall and repeatedly banged their head against it. In the courtyard, a hole is found far in the corner away from most eyes, appearing to have been dug by hand.
In what appears to be a different place, lightbulbs flicker over a chair with straps on the arms and around the legs. A cord runs from the back of the chair, a few sparks flying off every few seconds. A smoldering black mask is on the stony and unforgiving floor, the smoke rising slow and thick off of it. Chains can be seen on the wall in the background, red stains of what is surely blood on the wrist cufflets.
Inside an empty arena, a Hell in a Cell is set up around a ring. An unknown and unconscious man lies in the center of the wrestling ring, the entire mat stained with blood all around the ring. The man's face is turned away from the camera as he lies on his back. The CPW Xtreme Chaos Championship lies across his chest and on top of that the bloody mask of Hyde. The camera slowly pulls in on the mask as the song finishes up and just like that, the screen fills with static.
'Little black submarines
Operator please
Put me back on the line
Told my girl I'd be back
Operator please
This is wreckin' my mind'
Operator please
Put me back on the line
Told my girl I'd be back
Operator please
This is wreckin' my mind'

'Oh can it be
The voices calling me
They get lost
And out of time
I should've seen it glow
But everybody knows
That a broken heart is blind
That a broken heart is blind'
The voices calling me
They get lost
And out of time
I should've seen it glow
But everybody knows
That a broken heart is blind
That a broken heart is blind'

'Pick you up, let you down
When I wanna go
To a place I can hide
You know me, I had plans
But they just disappeared
To the back of my mind'
