marcusfilth.proboards.com/thread/29266/greater-goodSo I'm trying something a little different I believe. I'm trying to almost do this morph of old school Bray Wyatt and Thanos since I saw old footage of Bray Wyatt promos when he was being hyped up. So I'm just curious what people think.

Since I ended up three more RPs after this one, might as well see how people thought about those also.

I think the two you did that were direct responses to Sockman/Lopez were standard fare for you (not in a bad way). You know your character, you know how to have him trash talk people, and it's a real strength of yours. I thought your attacks on Lopez hit a little harder than your attacks on Sockman did, but part of that is because Lopez and Disturbed have some history together and you know exactly what buttons to press. The one against Sockman was solid, too, but he's an unorthodox character that isn't quite as easy to write against.
"For the Greater Good" and "They Feel Entitled" both had a similar theme to them, and I think it's a theme that works for Disturbed. While the character is obviously one of the top heels in the fed, I don't think he's at his best when you're just playing him as a straight monster. Anyone who writes matches for him is going to convey that in the ring because it's a lot of fun to do. But having him specifically notice and seek to destroy what he sees as the "ills" of CPW is a good approach because he absolutely has the credibility to say that stuff. It's something that's easy to respond to as your opponent (and I mentioned in the shoutbox, that's a real strength of yours - making people respond). But giving Disturbed a bit of a "mission" to tie things to is a good idea for you, since he always has some credibility due to the fact that he's one of the better "monster" characters CPW has ever had. And he's so direct in what he says and how he says it that people listen, respond, and then you have the back and forth, trash-talking dialogue where you excel.
The writing itself was fairly typical for you. You have a style that works for you, and you stuck with it. It's a viable strategy - especially for a show (and match) like this. I think giving your character an angle to play with in addition to the normal trash-talking that comes from Disturbed is a good idea. Overall, some really nice work this week.
