The rain poured down hitting the giant glass windows of Logan Airport like liquid nails as the wind whipped all around. The first days of spring and of course it gives Boston another taste of the chilly, rainy winter it had been dealing with. The terminals were pretty much deserted outside of a few janitors vacuuming down the way and some flight crew members walking down the halls. The camera pans all around until we see a lone passenger in gym shorts and a black hoodie sitting near the windows. As the camera moves closer, we see them looking out into the night with a duffle bag at their feet and a backpack in the seat next to him.
Once we get a few feet away we see even with their hood up and a red sox cap to help mask their identity the Xtreme Chaos champion Nightmare waiting for his plane to finally board. His face was almost blank, whether lost in thought or just dissociating. Regardless of what may or may not of been going through his head we see Gavin acknowledge the camera from the corner of his eye before leaning forward, hiding his face from view as he begins to speak.
“Part of me thought you were going to stay silent Daisey, part of me thought you may of decided to give up the wrestling biz and go back to being a mediocre teacher. But I am glad you spoke up, decided to raise your hand and approach the class and say what you did and it was amusing. I mean getting caught with ten pounds of marijuana. Like you faced Duke Jupitar a few months ago and homie is so zonked to the moon on goof balls and god knows what else. If management hasn’t fired him yet I doubt they would with me.”
“Not to mention that fucking atrocities I’ve committed myself, some of my actions could have been considered felonies to some judges. Daisy it may be your own arrogance blinding you from what is in front of you or maybe it’s pure stupidity but on Sunday this isn’t just another match. This isn’t some show and tell where you think your unstoppable because in reality, you’re just unbearable.”
Gavin chuckles at his joke as he looks up to the camera, pulling his hat backwards where it sits in the hood that’s now behind his head.
“You say class is about to be in session Daisey but you’re not at my level; and I try not to boast and talk about myself in such high regard. Because I know on any given night, on any given day I can fall victim to just about anyone. I mean Audry Carter served me some humble pie a few weeks after my return and I she earned some respect from me. But you Daisey there is no respect, there is no idea of a world that could coexist between you and I.”
“Because if you beat me, I’ll take my loss, but you won’t win my respect. It’s only going to fuel me to comeback more aggressive, more violent, my fists won’t stop punching until you’re nothing but a footnote in the history of Chaotic Pro. Not even an afterthought just a passing question of who was that teacher chick before they move on to better things.”
Gavin pauses for a moment as he stands up and walks to the window, looking out into the air field before looking at his reflection.
“Daisy I have bigger things to worry about than you right now; between Kelly James, Disturbed, Lopez, and Joe Summers I have bigger things I should be focusing on. But this match is a bit of a blessing because it’ll be a nice reminder to everyone who thinks they have a shot at the champ. Because this belt isn’t leaving my hands anytime soon; I’ve worked too fucking hard and sacrificed too fucking much to give it away. So prepare yourself Daisy and I hope to god you come out swinging because I know I am; and I’m not going to fucking stop until your body goes limp and your eyes roll back.”
As those finals words roll out of his mouth, we hear an announcement letting the passengers of the flight to San Antonio that the plane is now boarding. Pulling his hat forward back onto his head with the hood covering the hat Gavin walks over and grabs his bags and walks to his gate. Holding his phone out he had his ticket scanned before making his way down the terminal, the camera fading to black a moment later.
