Scene Starts as Reggie Starr enters the the locker room with the camera crew following right behind him as he stops and begins to speak.
One day while I was walking through the mall a Old man asked me" Do I know where I came from" confused by the question I said" Yes sir. I do. He asked again but this time asked, Do I really know where I came from" I was silent and then he handed me a book and told me to read when I got home.
When I got home I read the book found out , that some of my great relatives were great kings and queens of parts of Africa and other countries. I also found out that they were captured and came to America and were sold as slaves and didn't have no say so on the way they lived. Back in those days a slave wasn't allowed to read and write or had a chance to vote and blacks was looked downed on as less than human. But in later years slaves gained there freedom but still was looked down on as good for nothing and lazy. In some ways slavery is still around but in different ways.
True, I didn't live the good life and people seen me as a good for nothing person who didn't have a chance to make it to my next birthday but I proved them wrong and I still prove people wrong who talk against me. I would like to thank that big mouth jerk Jake Anderson for waking me up and making me remember what I'm in the Cpw for. I amit I did get side tracked but, now I'm more focused than ever.
People define slavery by saying slavery is: Involuntary servitude to another person or persons, such that the persons held in bondage is/are considered to be property. It reduces a person to the status of chattel who can be owned by another person. The selling price of a slave varied from less than that of horse to as many as a dozen horses. The master controls and commands the slave, either through property-like ownership of the slave or by right to command him.
Slavery is best known to Americans as a peculiar institution of the Southern states before the US Civil War, although it is found in some civilizations. Slavery still exists today in many parts of the world including China, Islamic countries, parts of Africa and some Latin American countries. In particular, even today, people are enslaved in the Sudan. Slave owners in the Southern states cited Ephesians 6:5, “slaves, obey your masters” in arguments for the Christian endorsement of slavery. Another Bible verse states that thieves should be sold into slavery. Under the Mosaic Law, slaves could be kept for six years.
The slavery system diminished a person to the point where they would be regarded as a thing or an object to be owned. Some Christian abolitionists disagreed with this valuation, and advanced an interpretation of the Bible which presented human value in terms of God's parental love for all people as His children. Slavery is mentioned in a number of places in the Bible, although this often referred to indentured servitude, and Biblical injunctions existed granting certain rights and prohibitions, such as the right of the slave to go free after a certain amount of time or the prohibition against the master of putting a slave's eye out
From 1654 until 1865, slavery for life was legal within the boundaries of the present United States .Most slaves were black, and were held by whites, however some Native Americans and free blacks also held slaves. The majority of slave holding was in the southern United States where most slaves were engaged in an efficient machine-like gang system of agriculture. According to the 1860 U.S. census, nearly four million slaves were held in a total population of just over 12 million in the 15 states in which slavery was still legal.Of all 1,515,605 families in the 15 slave states, 393,967 held slaves in 8% of all American families. Most households, however, had only a few slaves. The concentration of slaves were held by planters, defined by historians as those who held 20 or more slaves. The planters achieved wealth and social and political power. Ninety-five percent of black people lived in the South, comprising one-third of the population there, as opposed to 2% of the population of the North.
Jake, You said something that really Interested me and that was: "A man of my status and caliber can not just sit with the riff Raff and the americans down below. You said too me: "Wake the fuck up douche bag. Get your head out of your ass and realize what is really going on in this big world around you. I'm not fucking ducking you. You just haven't earned a shot at my title. I'm not scared to face you. I'm just above you and out of your league." Now jake I'm wondering if your not scared of me why in the hell your talking shit about me, because watch ya mouth or get blood in it.
Now, I am part of what you call the riff raff of America and I am damn proud of the shit , and hell you can that America was made on the back of my people that were slaves. Jake, you big mouth asshole you act like your all that and a bag of chips but, The way I see it your still not shit but a joke asshole. Do you think by calling me a douche bag going to make me cry. Hell no, it shows me that now I grabbed your attention and I'm in your head bitch. See jake I've been called every goddamned name in the book and probably before I go six feet under be called more. I know that I have a hard task in front of me in trying to win the air raid title by being in the Ultimate X match but I'm ready for it.
Now, I about to set the record straight on a matter, You said that the reason I respect Chris is because in the match I had against him that he beat the hell out of me, well if you seen the match bitch you would had seen me taking some of his best shots and I came back with some of my best shots, he said that he was going to break me well I'm still alive and kicking and I'm not going no fucking where. I know that some of people in the cpw are saying that either Tony or Iron Head winning the match, and I know that nobody gives me a snowball chance in hell in winning but I really don't give a damn about that bullshit. Jake, I can keep on talking about your stupid ass but that wouldn't be fun to talk about a arrogant sorry asshole like you so I'm going to stop for now. But this thing between you and me isn't going to end until it's all settle in the damn ring where I get a chance to beat the hell out of you and take the title from you but, that a subject matter for another time. You talk brag about the Crusaders like you guys are gods but news flash your not shit and if you want some come and get some.
Now, back to the real subject and that's the match for the the Air raid title. For Four Hundred years blacks have been held back from getting what's rightfully their's but, Sunday I'm going to try to change that by trying and with the good lord help winning the Air Raid Title. I know that the task is going to be hard and damn near Imposable but when I into the ring Sunday I just not going to be wrestling for me I'm going to be wrestling for every man who's been held back. I'm wrestling for the poor people who can't pay there rent because they don't make that much or been laid off from their jobs, I also wrestle for middle class who struggle to pay their bills and feed their family and I'm also going to be wrestling for the people who dream about making it but never had the chance too. I'm a proud to say that I come from the hood or what some call the ghetto because it has showed me, how to survive how to fight for what is mine and as long as I am standing I will always continue to fight. If I win or lose I will always hold my head up high because, I know that I was born with a heart of a champion and I'm proud of my background and great grandparents that were kings and queens of Africa. I know there are people who think that I won't amount to nothing in the cpw, and I also know that my win and lose record isn't the best but Sunday win or lose I shall go in and out of the ring as a champion.
