“Let’s clear one thing up…”
Solidus Filth stood next to Dexter Howe, both holding mics as a live interview was held on the 24hr CPW Network. Dexter himself looked as lost as ever, desperately trying to look as good as he could with a laughable effort, and Solidus leading the interview as he continued speaking.
“There was only one reason I joined up with The Clique, and one reason alone I continue to fight against Symphony of Destruction. That reason is my brother, Dante Draimen-Filth, better known in CPW as The Jester. You see he started something with me a long time ago. Something I thought was finished then, but it sure as hell isn’t finished now. Until it is finished… I’ll fight anyone or anything that fights alongside him. You see I don’t care if Symphony of Destruction is or isn’t all that’s wrong with CPW right now. Hell knows there’s probably worse things out there than Axl reigning as Champion for the tenth time. It’s really nothing to do with that, or the fact that Symphony uses slightly different methods to get their point across. The fact is I’m going to kill my brother, and anyone who would ever even consider partnering up with that lunatic needs to be castrated for doing so!”
Solidus looked ahead directly at the camera, his gaze stern as the point stuck into his expression. Dexter was still standing next to him, looking too visible in his attempt to seem important as he searched for things to say.
“And then there’s-…”
Solidus held a hand up, silencing Dexter.
“And then there’s this FCW group of yahoos? Right? Well, to be honest… I couldn’t care less about them. I get it. They came, they invaded… and now they‘ve got something to prove. Well step in line, because I‘m up first to bat. My goal has been set and my aim is true. One-by-one I‘m bound and determined to take down the entire cast of Symphony. From Denni to Joe. I will stop my brother, and I don’t even care if Axl James Slade stands between me and him. I’ll do whatever it takes until this is over. If I have to fight fire with fire, then so be it. Maybe I‘ll get burned again, but it‘s a price I‘m willing to pay. You see I‘m not the good guy and you‘re not the villain. We‘re enemies, plain and simple as that, drawn from the lines of the battlefield. Lines without good or evil. Lines that simply exist, and I lines that I’ll never cross.”
Again, Dexter tries to chime in and make himself look necessary to the interview.
“So you’re saying-…”
Solidus stops him once more.
“I’m saying I’m focused on one thing and one thing only. I don’t care for politics and I’m not about to waver. Anything could happen, and people will act accordingly… but me, I’ve got a set path before me. Maybe I’ll get in trouble with my teammates for my approach, but frankly I don’t give a damn. Just like FCW is only concerned with proving their brand superior, I’m only concerned with beating SOD. To get some payback for losing against Joe and Denni last month. To make Jester regret he ever came back into my life. It really doesn’t get any clearer than that.
Dexter interjects, “So as long as SOD loses, you don’t care if FCW wins?”
Solidus shakes his head.
“That prick-waving contest? They can have it. The way I see it they’re idiots for even trying to prove themselves superior. If they really were even on the same level as us then there company wouldn’t have fallen, now would it? Hell FCW had to come to CPW just to get their name out. Before they came here who heard of them? Who? No one… that’s right. Now they’re here all shouting out how they’re supposed to be the new biggest and baddest, the new best thing to hit the market. Sorry, but I don’t care. Go ahead and try to pick a fight for me. You’re just like some twelve year old trying to win my attention. Sorry, but daddy’s got bigger fish to fry. Fish that have actually done something in their career. You see in a way you’re right to lump us CPW wrestlers together against you guys rather than separate us as individuals. Because when it comes to CPW and FCW, there really is only the two groups of people. FCW with a chip on their shoulder and something to prove. CPW with absolutely nothing to prove because for the last five years we’ve revolutionized the way wrestling has been broadcasted to the world. CPW, the most successful media venture since MTV aired Video Killed the Radio Star.”
A nearby assistant whispers something into Dexter’s ear, and suddenly he comes forth with a question.
“So do you think things will conclude at Dia de Los… what was it?”
Solidus shakes his head.
“No. I don’t. I think things are just beginning. I think things with FCW will only grow from here. I think the other feuds going on in the company will spill over and combine with ours. I think soon we’ll see the biggest war CPW has ever seen, the kind that will finally put the infamous Jailbreak to shame. I think we’re only at the tip of the iceberg, and nobody is going to expect what will happen next. And to be honest… that’s fine with me. I know where I stand. I know where I’ll be fighting. And I’ll continue to fight from this point onward from the same place no matter what happens. Until this war is over and a winner is declared, Solidus Filth is going to keep doing what he does best. Heat things up.”
Solidus retains his stern look while Dexter searches for more to say. After a long and awkward silence of being able to come up with nothing, he finally decides to end the interview.
“Well this is the Dex here with… uh… this guy… signing out!”
The promo ends with cameras fading out as a nearby assistant reminds Dexter of Solidus’ name and Dexter yelling at the assistant that he needed no such assistance.
