I appreciate the thought, here, but there's no contest in my mind. Seth fizzled out due to a lack of grounding, whereas Kent was on a roll and stayed on a fucking roll the whole year.

Viewing it from a strictly in-character perspective, this is probably Kent pretty easily. The character didn't accomplish all that much when he came around in late 2009, but has since become a solid Air Raid champ that has stepped up and showed that he can be a main event competitor.
I'd also like to nominate Laylon here. At the beginning of the year, the character was nothing more than a fringe Brutal Havok competitor...and by the middle/end of the year, the character was main-eventing PPVs and getting Xtreme Chaos title shots. Definitely a huge step up for a character that, judging by its beginning in 2009 and work earlier this year, didn't seem like it would make it all that far.

Thanks for the nomination, I'm voting for Kent though. IC Kent actually beat some of the main eventers. Laylon was in some pretty heated feuds and matches but lost most of them and never won any titles. So Kent gets the nod in my opinion from an IC perspective.
